Song for the day: 'If A Song Could Get Me You' by Marit Larsen
I don't know what's with all the Scandinavians at the moment. Two of my favorite albums last year were from Sweden — JJ's JJ no 2, and Miike Snow's Miike Snow — and then there was Don't Stop from Annie, who is Norwegian. This song from her compatriot Marit Larsen requires a sweet tooth but rewards it, too: its somewhere between a Kylie ballad and one of James Taylor's more uptempo numbers. The piano accompaniment builds beautifully; and I don't think that accent is ever going to get old.
