Song of the day: 'Charlie Darwin' by The Low Anthem
The Low Anthem are a three-piece from Providence—folk musician and painter Ben Knox Miller, bassist and baseball scholar Jeff Prystowsky and classical composer and NASA technician Jocie Adams. Charlie Darwin was recorded “in the ghostly stillness of a Block Island winter” and inspired by a trip to the zoo. In an effort to get their song banned in the Bible Belt, they contacted teenagers in Kansas and gave them free mp3 downloads for them to take to school, but nobody bit.
