Obama's nobel peace prize: he's not Bush

If I was Barack Obama, I'd be pissed. Seriously. There's the domestic political backlash, of course, but it's also little condescending to get the Nobel Peace prize for largely symbolic reasons, especially if you harbor genuine ambitions for your presidency, as he does. He probably wanted to win the prize, one day. He does not want to go down as The President Who Couldn't Meet Expectations, or The Man Who Wasn't Bush, although it's worth remembering that, as far as the rest of the world is concerned, Not Being Bush isn't to be sneezed at. Invading countries by mistake is serious hiccup in any presidency. By the same token, not invading any countries by mistake can seem quite a virtue, in and of itself.
