Greed is good: the do-over

"Someone reminded that I once said that greed is good. Now it appears it's legal." — Gordon Gekko, Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps

I hope the writing is better than that. If you're going to revisit one of the most famous lines of the eighties you'd better trump it, but that's just a head-scratcher. Greed was once... illegal?
